How to Measure

Schelet sketch details:

  1. body height
  2. leg length
  3. calf length
  4. trunk height
  5. shoulders breadth
  1. Measuring the height
While standing with the back to a vertical pole or to a wall, bare feet, with the heels right next to the wall and legs holded close. Use a flat object to make a mark of the height.
  2. Arms length
While stretching the arms on the horizontal, either on a wall or any other horizontal flat surface, fingers also stretched, mark the beging and the ending, then measure the distance.
  3. Leg length
While standing up, measure from heel to the superior iliac crest.
  4. Calf length
While standing on a chair, from the heel to the top position.
  5. Trunk height
While standing on a chair use a ruller to measure the distance form the chair (between legs) to hollow sternum.
  6. Shoulders breadth
While standing, back close to a wall or another flat surface – the distance between the two articulations of the shoulder biacromial diameter.
  7. Mobility
While standing on a table, or any other flat high surface, from the level of the table to the tip of the fingers.
  8. Fist width
While grabbing a pole with both hands
